Blackhawks-Stars highlights Tuesday schedule

The Chicago Blackhawks' attempt at a four-game winning streak promises to be one of many exciting moments during Tuesday's six-game NHL schedule.

The Blackhawks (26-9-3), who have built an eight-point lead in the Central Division, will host the Dallas Stars at 8 p.m. ET on Versus. Chicago has won eight of its last 10 and is 17-4-1 on home ice. The Stars are five games above the .500 mark (16-11-11), yet reside in fourth place in the Pacific Division.

Tuesday's action gets under way at 7 p.m. ET with a pair of games. The Buffalo Sabres host the Pittsburgh Penguins in an Eastern Conference showdown, while the Columbus Blue Jackets head to Long Island to face the New York Islanders at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Columbus ended a nine-game skid on Monday with a 1-0 overtime win against Detroit.

The Nashville Predators will look to end a three-game slide at 8 p.m. ET, when they'll battle the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. The Blues have lost back-to-back contests after winning three straight in Canada.

One hour later, the Phoenix Coyotes get right back at it as they host the Vancouver Canucks at Jobing.com Arena. Phoenix (24-13-3) picked up a point on Monday night in a 3-2 shootout loss at San Jose.

In the final game of the night, the Anaheim Ducks will face the Minnesota Wild at the Honda Center at 10 p.m. ET. Minnesota is coming off an impressive 4-3 win at Los Angeles on Monday, while the Ducks (15-16-7) have lost two in a row.
